Shasta Lake Housing-Renderings (1)04_25_23-13.png

A big change is coming to Shasta Lake City and developers say it will create a true downtown for Shasta Lake City. The final financial piece fell into place in July of 2023; $24 million in state tax credits to help fund the $50 million "Cascade Village" project. The development will span both sides of Shasta Dam Boulevard, between Farmers Marketplace and Tri-Counties Bank. K2 Development Companies CEO Allen Knott says it's a perfect spot for 49 housing units and 8,000-square feet of commercial space. He says the design is a nod to the city's history—a tight-knit community created during the building of Shasta Dam. Cascade Village is a project between K2, The City of Shasta Lake, and the Redding Rancheria. Groundbreaking is set for November and will take two years to build.
